My name is Monika Dudzik, and for many years I have been working with people in crisis, supporting them in regaining mental and emotional balance.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have gained my experience through working with charitable organisations that support people struggling with addiction and homelessness. I volunteered at The Crypt in Leeds, a centre supporting women in addiction recovery, and completed my placement at Platform 1 in Huddersfield – an organisation focused on mental health and helping people through difficult times.
For many years, I have accompanied people on their journey out of addiction – whether todrugs, sex, compulsive behaviours, or what is often called “toxic love” – using the 12-steprecovery programme. I understand how vital empathy, individuality and a non-judgementalapproach are in the healing process.
Professionally, I also support individuals after spinal injuries, combining work on movement, healthy nutrition, and good habits with rebuilding mental and emotional balance.
In my life, I am guided by Christian values and spirituality, which help me see each person as a whole – with love, faith and hope. I believe that true change begins from within, when a person discovers their own worth and the deeper meaning of life.
Privately, I love travelling – it allows me to better understand different perspectives, cultures, and human stories. In my therapeutic work, I believe that every person has the strength within them to change – sometimes, they just need someone to help them find it.
